Terms & Conditions: Stallholders

Yarraville Kingsville Market is operated by Common Ground Markets Pty Ltd ("CGM", "we", "us"). These terms govern stallholder participation. By submitting an expression of interest and trading at the market, you agree to them.

1. Eligibility & approval

All stalls are by application and approval. We curate the market and may decline or remove any stallholder at our discretion. Approval is confirmed in writing.

2. Products & standards

  • Every product must be Australian-grown and/or made.
  • Goods must match those described in your application. New products require our prior approval.
  • We may request evidence of local sourcing and Australian production.

3. Insurance & registrations

  • Public liability insurance — minimum $10 million cover; a current certificate must be provided before trading.
  • Statement of Trade (FoodTrader) — required for all food businesses.
  • Liquor licence — required where applicable.

4. Fees & payment

Stall fees are payable to Common Ground Markets Pty Ltd. Fees, due dates and refund conditions are set out in your stallholder agreement. Sites are not confirmed until payment is received.

5. Sites, set-up & pack-down

Sites are allocated by us and are non-transferable. Stallholders must set up and be ready before opening, trade for the full market, and pack down only after close, leaving their site clean.

6. Sustainability

The market operates 100% plastic-free and works towards zero waste. All packaging, presentation and serving must meet our sustainability standard. Stallholders remove their own waste.

7. Conduct

Stallholders must trade safely, courteously and lawfully, follow all venue and CGM directions, and not damage the market venue or its grounds.

8. Cancellations & weather

The market proceeds in most conditions but may be cancelled or postponed for safety or events beyond our control. Notice will be given where possible; refund treatment is per your stallholder agreement.

9. Liability

Stallholders are responsible for their stall, products, staff and equipment, and indemnify CGM and the venue against claims arising from their participation, to the extent permitted by law.

10. Communications

By applying, you consent to us contacting you about your application and, once approved, about market operations — dates, scheduling, site allocation, logistics and safety. This operational contact is necessary to run the market. It is separate from marketing: you will only receive market news, newsletters or promotional emails if you separately opt in, and you can unsubscribe from those at any time.

11. Privacy & changes

We handle your information per our Privacy Policy and may update these terms from time to time; the current version applies. Questions: stalls@yarravillemarket.com.au.
